The Miami Dolphins said that they placed LB Tyus Bowser on injured reserve and activated quarterback Tyler Huntley off injured reserve. LS Zach Triner was also promoted from the practice squad by Miami.
The 26-year-old Huntley was not selected by the Ravens in 2020 after graduating from Utah. Before making his debut in place of quarterback Lamar Jackson, he bounced on and off the practice squad. In April 2023, Huntley was re-signed by Baltimore as a restricted free agent. In 2024, he signed a free agent contract with the Browns, but he was set loose at the end of the preseason and returned to the Ravens’ practice squad.
The Dolphins signed Huntley to their active roster and placed him on injured reserve last month.
In 2024, Huntley has appeared in three games for the Dolphins and completed 59.1 percent of his passes for 377 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.
