Nebraska has begun to reload its defensive line, adding former consensus 5-star prospect and Missouri transfer Williams Nwaneri, according to On3.
Nwaneri, the No.7 recruit in the 2024 class, officially entered the portal on Thursday morning with a do-not-contact tag. During his lone season with the Tigers, Nwaneri redshirted, only appearing in four games and recording two tackles and a sack.
Nwaneri has connections to the Huskers as he was coached by Nebraska assistant Jamar Mozee while at Lee’s Summit North High School in Kansas City, Missouri. The 6-foot-7, 255-pound edge rusher will provide explosiveness and size on the outside and will have four years to develop.
