Detroit Lions set for a major boost challenge

The Raiders and Lions both want to recover from disappointing losses on Monday night.

AUTOMATION (AP) — On Monday night, the Detroit Lions, who are currently atop the NFC North, and the Las Vegas Raiders will have a similar opponent.

Both sides are attempting to recover from crushing defeats.

Detroit lost by 32 points at Baltimore, bringing an end to their four-game winning streak. Before dropping a game by eighteen points at Chicago, Las Vegas had won two in a row.

With an average of only 16 points, the offensively struggling team is ranked 30th in scoring. Despite starting All-Pro Josh Jacobs, the rushing champion from the previous season, in the backfield, the Raiders rank last in rushing and 27th overall in total offense. They only manage 68.6 yards per game on the ground.

GOING FOR GOFF

During a 16-game span beginning with the previous season, the Lions relied heavily on Jared Goff, and it paid off. They finished the year strong, going 13-3, and will continue where they left off in 2023, thanks in large part to Goff.

McDaniels remarked, “He’s matured.” “You can observe an increase in his efficiency and his excellent decision-making. When it comes to the ball, he rarely makes mistakes. He is quite intelligent and may be violent when necessary.
