Georgie Hetherington is called up for a women’s rugby league international match against Wales.

Georgie Hetherington is part of England’s team for their match against Wales on November 4th, according to coach Stuart Barrow.

After assisting York Valkyrie in winning the Super League, Hetherington is included in the team for the first time.

The international doubleheader at Headingley features this match, which starts at noon ahead of the men’s final Test match versus Tonga.

Cunningham, Emily Rudge, Tara Jones, Paige Travis, Vicky Whitfield, and Eboni Partington are the other seven St. Helens players in the 20-man roster.

Hetherington, 26, assisted Valkyrie in winning a domestic double, earning him a promotion from the England Knights development group.

Five club teammates, including 2023 Woman of Steel Sinead Peach, are included in the squad.

Anna Davies of Wigan Warriors, who was called up for the first time, is also a candidate to make her debut on the international scene.

“I am extremely happy to add Georgie and Anna to the squad to face Wales next Saturday,” Barrow stated.

“They’ve both had a fantastic season with their respective clubs and they’ve both progressed through England Knights which proves that the pathway is working.”
