Conflicting statements regarding the atmosphere versus Chelsea were posted on social media by Newcastle’s owners, which sparked a lot of discussion among the supporters this past weekend.

 

There have been far worse atmospheres this season alone, so it seems ridiculous to identify flaws with the game, especially when it was the owners who changed the ticketing system. This has spawned a lot of conversations about why the atmosphere might not be as good as it could be.

Naturally, there’s always room for improvement, but it’s unrealistic to expect Newcastle supporters to start singing for ninety minutes at a time when, in reality, none of the nation’s fan bases do.
