Steve Cooper disclose “Spurs threats

Steve Cooper discussed the dangers posed by the group and a familiar face on the field, Brennan Johnson, as we take on his Forest team this evening at the City Ground (8pm UK).

Cooper guided Forest up from the Championship’s bottom to promotion in 2022, and his team’s 16th-place result from the previous campaign ensured that they remained in the top division. Before this Friday Night Football match, Forest has only won one of their previous twelve Premier League games, so they are in a bit of a bind.

“We know Spurs are a really good team, full of threats all over the pitch and the way they play is something you have to be mindful of,” Cooper stated at his pre-match press conference on Friday. Every team in the Premier League is similar to that, but in various ways. We are at home on a Friday night, and the atmosphere seems fantastic and something we would really like to be a part of.

When asked about Brennan, who joined us in August after spending 14 years at Forest and graduating from their Academy to play in the Premier League, Cooper said, “We have to deal with Brennan’s presence on the field in a different manner because we are aware of his obvious threats.” Naturally, it will be pleasant to see him after the game, but we must concentrate on all of their threats in addition to him and try our best to counter them. We must also do what we believe is necessary.”
