Earlier in the season, Campbell had already hinted at significant changes, revealing a list of players who were set to depart from the club.

The latest developments include the signing of tight end Anthony Firkser to the active roster from the practice squad, along with the re-signing of cornerback Chase Lucas to the practice squad.

On December 29th, the Lions took further actions by releasing defensive lineman Chris Smith from the practice squad and bringing offensive lineman Michael Schofield onto the practice squad.

The same day, fullback Jason Cabinda was waived, and kicker Michael Badgley was signed from the practice squad to the active roster.

In a preceding move on December 28th, cornerback Chase Lucas and linebacker Trevor Nowaske were waived, and fullback Jason Cabinda was activated from Reserve/Injured.

The series of adjustments continued on December 21st with the release of offensive lineman Michael Schofield from the practice squad and the signing of cornerback Craig James to the practice squad.

Earlier in December, on the 19th, kicker Riley Patterson was waived, and quarterback Hendon Hooker was activated from Reserve/NFI.

The Lions also made several signings to the practice squad in December, including defensive linemen Chris Smith and Tyson Alualu, as well as guard Matt Farniok. However, defensive lineman Raymond Johnson was released from the practice squad.

In a notable move on December 5th, cornerback Kindle Vildor was signed to the active roster from the practice squad, while defensive lineman Alim McNeill was placed on Reserve/Injured.
