17-goal striker coveted by Nottingham Forest now wants to join another Premier League club
During the summer transfer window, Nottingham Forest was interested in Marcos Leonardo. Ultimately, the Brazilian chose to stay with Santos, although he now wishes to relocate to England.
Several clubs shown interest in the striker during the recent transfer window. West Ham and Brentford were both interested in signing him, while Roma also made a bid.
Leonardo, on the other hand, chose to remain in Brazil, where he appears to be finishing the season. During the 2023 season, the player had 17 goals and four assists in 36 games.
Leonardo is currently interested in joining another Premier League club.
It’s no wonder that Brighton are interested in Leonardo, given their talent for finding hidden jewels. Furthermore, the player is said to prefer signing for Brighton over Brentford.
The AMEX Stadium has been rebuilt by Roberto De Zerbi. They are in the Europa League this season, despite losing their first game against AEK Athens.
The player is now interested in a move to England, according to Premier League Brazil. He’s set on moving to Brighton, and it’s thought he’d enjoy the change.
Will Forest make a January move for Leonardo?
It must be stated that it appears implausible at the moment. Forest’s offense is led by Taiwo Awoniyi, with Divock Origi and Chris Wood waiting in the wings.
Unless one of those players is injured before January, it’s difficult to see Forest competing with Brighton. As much as they would like to sign Leonardo, it appears that he has his heart set on signing elsewhere.
Leonardo appears to be a talented player. At 20 years old, he’s regarded as one of Brazil’s best emerging talents, and it’s difficult to fault Forest for displaying an interest in these types of players.
