SKYSPORT NEWS: Boston Celtics are sad to believe the departure of another key star Player….

The Boston Celtics made a big trade for All-Star point player Jrue Holiday in exchange for Robert Williams, Malcolm Brogdon, and two draft picks.

With the arrival of the two-time all-star, the Celtics believed they had raised the Eastern Conference.

Former Celtics MVP candidate Isaiah Thomas tweeted on Sunday, “X on the Celtics trade that secured guard Jrue Holiday from the Blazers.”

He wrote,

“Nvm Celtics favorite now in the east lol”
“No big deal,” Thomas added. If they were wise, they’d go grab Boogie (Cousins) or Dwight (Howard) simply to have a shot against Joker or Embiid (we don’t know what Philly is going to do with Harden).”
With the Milwaukee Bucks acquiring Damian Lillard and the Celtics acquiring Holiday, the Eastern Conference appears to be becoming much more competitive.

Former Celtics guard Thomas also posted on X his immediate response to the trade, writing,

NBA analyst Jeff Goodman also weighed in on the Celtics and Holiday, saying,

“The Celtics just became the NBA title favorites with the addition of Jrue Holiday.”

The five-time All-Defensive selection will have to step in for Marcus Smart, who was traded by the Celtics in June.

Thomas is correct in believing that the Celtics might be the title favorites, as well as his current favorite in the East.

The additions of Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis will provide the Celtics with a fresh dynamic that they have not previously had.
