BREAKING NEWS: It is shocking to see Brighton’s key star among aces to exit club with immediate effect

Chelsea to make a move for Brighton & Hove Albion winger Simon Adingra?

Chelsea are rumored to be interested in signing Brighton & Hove Albion winger Simon Adingra during one of the forthcoming transfer windows.
The Blues have had a dismal start to the new Premier League season, with only five points from six games, leaving them narrowly above the relegation zone.

Mauricio Pochettino’s team did, however, get their season started with a 1-0 win over Brighton in the EFL Cup third round last week.

Three previous Brighton players, Robert Sanchez, Marc Cucurella, and Moises Caicedo, all started for Chelsea, and four if you include Levi Colwill, who was on loan with the Seagulls in 2022-23.

Chelsea co-owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital previously selected then-Brighton manager Graham Potter as their new head coach 13 months ago, thus the two teams are used to working together.

Brighton have also got players from the opposite direction, with Billy Gilmour now shining in their midfield, but it appears that they may have to fight off interest in another member of their squad.

According to Football Insider, Chelsea has recently shown an interest in Adingra’s growth.

Adingra’s summer arrival in the Brighton first squad was relatively unnoticed as a result of his previous season with Belgian club Union SG.

During his loan spell, the 21-year-old scored 15 goals and assisted 15, earning him a promotion to Brighton’s senior ranks from Roberto De Zerbi.

Since then, the Ivory Coast international has played 239 minutes of senior football, scoring one goal and assisting one in the Premier League.

Adingra’s position at the Amex Stadium remains secure, despite the fact that Chelsea scouts were allegedly present at two of Brighton’s most recent home games.

Chelsea’s midfield is well-stocked, with Cole Palmer, Raheem Sterling, Mykhaylo Mudryk, and Noni Madueke all vying for the two wide positions.

Christopher Nkunku has also yet to return from injury, but Pochettino is anxious to see his team improve in front of goal after scoring only eight times in eight games since his arrival.
