NEWS IN SKYSPORT: QPR has suffered yet another huge injury setback, as a regular important starter has been omitted from the team to face Leeds United.

QPR were dealt an injury setback ahead of their trip to Leeds United due to referee displeasure.

Queen Park Rangers travel up the M1 this week for a Wednesday night showdown against Leeds United, and one of their defensive mainstays is expected to be absent.

Who Are The League One Managers? No.23: Gareth Ainsworth (Wycombe Wanderers) - Vital Lincoln City

Queen Park Rangers manager Gareth Ainsworth describes Morgan Fox’s probable injury as ‘tough’ before of his side’s trip to Leeds United on Wednesday evening. Fox has been an ever-present in QPR’s defense this season, but limped off five minutes into the weekend’s 3-1 loss to Coventry City.

Ainsworth’s side had gone four games without a win, with the injury to the former Sheffield Wednesday and Stoke City left-back topping a laundry list of grievances that the Hoops’ manager had following the Loftus Road defeat. QPR will enter the midweek matches 22nd in the Championship league, and it appears that they will be without the 30-year-old at Elland Road.

“It was challenging.”

“He landed strangely on his knee, and we’ll look into it, but I don’t think he’ll be back this week.” We’ll have to exercise caution with that one.”

Fox is currently Ainsworth’s only injury concern, with former Chelsea prospect Jake Clarke-Salter replacing him at the weekend, while fit-again Jimmy Dunne and summer signing Reggie Cannon are also options to come in when QPR face a Leeds United side licking their wounds following Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at Southampton. Ainsworth, on the other hand, had more to say about his team’s recent defeat, lamenting refereeing decisions and his team’s dismal home form.

Ainsworth was enraged by two key judgments made against the Sky Blues. “Today’s officiating, in my opinion, was not adequate for the game.”

“They’ve almost apologized, which is great, but it doesn’t change the outcome.” I’m devastated that my lads appear to be collapsing.

“Perhaps the offside goal really hurt them, but the other two goals came on two counter-attacks.” But, at 2-0, Sinclair’s penalty is a no-brainer, and if it puts us back in the game, I believe we can win.”

QPR’s home form is also causing concern for the Hoops manager, with the side picking up just one point from four games at Loftus Road this season.

“I’m not stupid; a 3-1 loss at home is not acceptable.” I’m sure the haters will love it, but there’s a little more to it.
