The former Wales winger stunned supporters in January when he revealed he was leaving for an NFL chance in the US. He quickly gained notoriety as one of rugby union’s most promising young stars. The Kansas City Chiefs, who were led by Kelce, was the team he later signed.

“We’ve been doing this since we were kids, so we’re gonna have those little instincts that we’ve built over the years that he’s got to catch up with.”

Rees-Zammit earned his stripes with the Wales national side and amassed an outstanding 38 tries in 69 games for Gloucester before to joining the Chiefs. In 2021, he went on a tour of South Africa with the British & Irish Lions.

American football scouts have taken notice of his exceptional speed. He ran a 4.49-second 40-yard sprint at the international combine in March, which would have put him seventh among running backs in this year’s NFL selection.

Kelce forewarned that Rees-Zammit’s first NFL season would be a “humbling” experience on his podcast, New Heights. “It’s going to be a humbling experience at first,” he stated. Making the leap is difficult since the two games are quite different from one another.

“The Chiefs saw that he is an athlete. He’s a clever child and a clever athlete. Thus, he will finally be able to take up the offensive. But as he adjusts to life in the NFL, these next three months will be difficult for him.
