The Dolphins have released Odell Beckham Jr. The veteran wide receiver hopes to land with a playoff contender, and he and the team agreed to mutually part ways.

Beckham will reportedly be on waivers through the weekend. Assuming he is unclaimed, he will be a free agent and able to sign with whoever.

Beckham seemed like he was going to be a perfect match in Miami as the team’s No. 3 wide receiver behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Unfortunately for the Dolphins, it didn’t work out that way, and he ended his tenure with just nine receptions for 55 yards over nine games.

When Beckham was a free agent in the past, he toured teams around the league, trying to find the best fit. I doubt we will see the same spectacle after the season he had in Miami, but there should still be interest in adding him for a playoff push.

Rams

This is an obvious connection, as OBJ was with the Rams when they won the Super Bowl in 2022. He was a midseason acquisition after getting released from the Browns. Beckham played eight regular-season games and had 305 yards and five touchdowns before 288 yards and two scores in the playoffs.

These aren’t award-winning numbers, but Beckham is past being a WR1 in his career and would add reliable depth behind Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua for Matthew Stafford.

Ravens

Baltimore has been down the Beckham road before. He played 14 games for them last season and finished with 565 yards and three touchdowns on 35 receptions.
