GOOD SINGING: Just In Florida Panthers Asked For A Good Former Talented Defenseman In Maple Leafes ….

With the initial wave of free agency now completed and most top-tier free agents having secured new contracts, only a handful of key players remain available for signing this off-season.

According to NHL analyst Steve Silverman, the reigning champions, the Florida Panthers, could address some of their roster gaps by bringing in veteran defenseman Mark Giordano, formerly of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Despite turning 41 this October, Giordano, who became a free agent on July 1, intends to continue his hockey career for at least another year.

In his article for Clutch Points, Silverman suggests that the Panthers should consider signing the seasoned defenseman.

Silverman highlights Giordano’s extensive experience, noting his 18-year career across teams like the Calgary Flames, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Seattle Kraken.

Although Giordano is no longer at the peak of his physical prowess at 40, his deep understanding of the game and his ability to play a tough, physical style remain valuable assets. His long tenure in the NHL has equipped him with a wealth of experience and a nuanced understanding of winning hockey, which could benefit a strong team like the Panthers.

While there are other players General Manager Barry Zito might explore before training camp begins, Silverman emphasizes that Giordano’s expertise and experience make him a compelling free agent option.
