In a recent announcement, the club confirmed a new deal reportedly valued at $775,000. The player involved is 23-year-old defenseman Adam Boqvist, who was originally selected by the Chicago Blackhawks as the eighth overall pick in the 2018 NHL Draft.
Boqvist was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2021. On June 30, 2024, the Blue Jackets placed Boqvist on waivers. After successfully clearing waivers, Boqvist became an unrestricted free agent.
Throughout his NHL career, Boqvist has accumulated 85 points over 209 games. Now, he is set to join the Florida Panthers, where he will be reunited with his older brother, Jesper Boqvist.
This move marks a new chapter for Adam Boqvist as he continues his professional hockey career with the Panthers.
