In unfortunate news for the Cincinnati Reds, their standout pitcher Hunter Greene has been placed on the injured list due to a troubling elbow injury.
Despite initial assessments suggesting that the injury might not be severe, it has nonetheless put Greene’s pitching duties on hold.
The injury reportedly occurred when Greene accidentally struck his elbow against a cabinet. At the time, he did not think much of the incident, continuing with his usual routine. However, after his subsequent start, he began to experience noticeable soreness and discomfort in the affected area.
Team spokesperson Day explained that the bruise, initially minor from the cabinet impact, worsened with use, exacerbating the injury.
The elbow, being a crucial and sensitive area for pitchers, is particularly vulnerable to such complications, making this injury a significant concern for both Greene and the team.
