Today, the Braves confirmed the addition of Joey Wendle to their roster under a major league contract. To accommodate this new signing, they have sent Luke Williams down to Triple-A Gwinnett.

Wendle, who is 34 years old, previously played for the Mets this season, where he had a batting average of .222, hitting 8 out of 36.
