The Detroit Tigers have recently dealt with a significant setback as they announce that key player Faedo has been moved to the 60-day injured list. Initially, Faedo was placed on the 15-day injured list on August 25 due to a strained right shoulder.

However, further evaluation has revealed that the injury is serious enough to rule him out for the rest of the regular season.

To address the injury, Faedo has received a PRP (platelet-rich plasma) injection, a common treatment aimed at accelerating recovery by using the body’s own healing properties. Despite this, it’s expected that Faedo will be sidelined through the end of the current season but should be able to return to normal activities by the offseason.

This year, Faedo has contributed significantly to the Tigers, pitching 57.1 innings and maintaining a solid performance with a 3.61 ERA (earned run average) and a 1.34 WHIP (walks plus hits per inning pitched). His absence is a considerable loss for the team as they head into the crucial final stretch of the season.
