James Harden’s remarks help the Raptors and lead to Nick Nurse’s failure with the 76ers.
The Toronto Raptors and Philadelphia 76ers are frequently at each other’s throats in the NBA, and this season, their rivalry may reach a real fever pitch. The urgency increased once Nick Nurse, a former Raptors coach, was named James Harden and Joel Embiid’s new coach.
As Harden and businessman Daryl Morey are involved in a power struggle, Nurse has been thrust directly into the heart of a serious chemistry problem. Harden is prepared to cause major chaos to have his way since he has no desire to play for the 76ers once more.

Good news for the Toronto Raptors comes from the James Harden issue.
Any small change may be enough to drastically change the course of a team like the 76ers in an Eastern Conference that is as deep as it has ever been. The 76ers will be dogged by this shadow until Harden is traded, which is becoming less likely by the day.
Since Toronto plays Philadelphia frequently in the early part of the season, they may be able to profit from it. Even though Tyrese Maxey has long been a pain in Toronto’s side and Harden’s worth is at an all-time low, it is obvious that the guy is still incredibly good and valued.
Coach Nurse is above reproach since he can show off his championship ring to anyone who disparages him. However, the way he handled the locker room was one place where some issues did manage to surface. Abrasive coaching tactics are a formula for failure when dealing with either a star in dissatisfaction or a holdout.
Harden is going out of his way to make Philadelphia a radioactive situation in an Eastern Conference that might be a slugfest at the top. That could be all Toronto needs to ruin their fun if he doesn’t get his way.
