SKYSPORT NEWS: The Claret received a surprise massage as reported to be a challenge from rivals

Leicester City, according to a former Claret, are a stronger team than Burnley’s Championship-winning team.

Michael Duff, a former Claret, thinks Leicester City are a stronger team than the Burnley squad that easily won the Championship with 101 points last year.
The 45-year-old, who is currently in charge of Swansea City, will take on the Foxes on Saturday in South Wales.

“Probably the toughest game of the season,” according to Duff, is the matchup with Leicester, who have won 10 of their first 11 league games this year.

“I think they will win the league,” he stated.

They are, in my opinion, superior to Burnley from the previous season, which probably says it all. They are a really good team, so we will occasionally have to play without the ball, but we don’t want to just sit in a block of 10 guys behind the ball and hope to get by for 95 minutes.

“I believe we have demonstrated our ability to play and defend over the past few weeks.

There is no question that we will need to perform at our best, but there is no trepidation. We’ll start the game with the goal of winning.Because they have good players, teams have tried a variety of strategies to defeat them, and each time they have been successful.

“We will have to try and come up with something and impose us on them.”

Duff, who formerly played for Cheltenham Town, made 342 appearances with the Clarets during the course of a 12-year playing career.

Before accepting the position of manager at Cheltenham, the former center-back started his coaching career with Burnley’s academy.

After a year with Barnsley, Duff moved to Swansea this summer.
